District Plans

In keeping with the Government of Ontario's Broader Sector Business Documents Directive, the following links offer public access to the key business plans of the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB).

Accessibility

The UCDSB has an opportunity to provide leadership by addressing the provisions of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 in its schools and workplaces. Our Board's efforts are currently guided by a five year plan of action as a sustained commitment to address its priorities for accessibility. Learn more about what the UCDSB is doing to improve accessibility in our district.

Board Improvement & Equity Plan (BIEP)

At the UCDSB, we believe that if we establish, a consistent, equitable, and intentional culture of well-being and inclusivity in all of our schools, then all students will develop enhanced mental and physical health, a positive sense of belonging, the skills to make positive choices, and increase student achievement.

CREW Strategic Plan
This is the foundation on which every system leader can build capacity in their school or department to meet the needs of all. This plan includes specific focus areas: collaboration, resources, educational programs and wellness. Learn more about our strategic plan.

Director's Work Plan
The Director's Work Plan adds action to the directions set out in the Board Work Plan. The plan sets out four priority areas and specific goals which direct and define the efforts of senior staff to support the priorities identified by the Board of Trustees. View the Director's Work Plan.

Equity & Inclusion
The UCDSB is committed to supporting and improving its focus on equity, through a multi-year plan that aligns with the Board’s policies on equity and inclusivity and provincial direction in this area. Our Board’s plan seeks to address issues of belonging and safety, as well as factors that will enhance student learning. Key deliverables are outlined in this plan - each with a timeline for completion and a method for measuring impact. Learn more about equity and inclusion within the UCDSB.

UCDSB Pandemic Response Guide
Like most large organizations, the UCDSB has a pandemic plan that helps guide the organization when a wide-spread illness is present in the community. Review or download our Pandemic Response Guide.

Special Education Plan
Each year the board reviews and updates a Special Education Plan about delivery of programs and services in the board. The plan is written to inform the Ministry of Education and the public about special education programs and services that are provided by the board in accordance with legislation and ministry policy on special education.

It is also a forward-looking document that outlines initiatives that can be undertaken to continue our efforts to improve the quality of our special education programs and services. Review our Special Education Plan.
