Did you know?

The UCDSB provides mentorship to teachers starting their career through its New Teacher Induction Program.

Elementary teachers are represented by the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) and Secondary teachers are represented by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF). These union groups negotiate salaries for their members at the provincial level. This means that no matter what board you work for, teachers across Ontario are paid the same.

Teachers in Ontario are eligible to be members of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP). This is a defined-benefits pension plan that provides lifetime pensions to Ontario teachers.
