Parent Involvement Committee
The UCDSB Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) is a district-wide group of parent/guardian representatives that work to support, encourage and enhance parent engagement at the board level. This group helps to support student achievement and well-being goals, provide feedback on future Board policies and initiatives, and provide support to all UCDSB School Councils.
Parent/guardian representation is as follows:
- 6 Parent Members from Wards 1, 2, 3 (Lanark area schools)
- 6 Parent Members from Wards 4, 5, 6 (Leeds-Grenville area schools)
- 6 Parent Members from Wards 7, 9, 10 (S,D&G and Prescott-Russell area schools)
- 2 Parent Members from Ward 8 (Cornwall area schools)
- 2 Parent Members From AMBE or representing the Indigenous community
- Up to 3 Community Members
To support its priority to create equitable representation of UCDSB parents/guardians, the membership selection committee may recommend that UCDSB-PIC, by vote, appoint up to five (5) additional parent members, regardless of their ward of residence, to ensure that traditionally marginalized groups, including, but not limited to, Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC), 2SLGBTQIA+, persons with disabilities and neurodivergent communities are represented on PIC.
