Dear UCDSB Parents and Guardians,

The provincial government has passed legislation that provides CUPE members with a contract. At this point, it’s not certain if CUPE employees will continue their walkout on Monday, Nov. 7.

If there is no change in the current situation, teachers will provide students with synchronous (real-time, online) learning, beginning on Monday. Information about online learning schedules and activities will come directly from your classroom teacher.

We will update families on Sunday evening to confirm the open/close status of our schools, or before if we have updated information.

Again, CUPE represents a significant portion of our employee group and we are not able to safely operate our schools without them.
