The Upper Canada District School Board is committed to preparing all students for a successful life. We are actively working towards reducing achievement gaps and improving learning outcomes for all students, regardless of class, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, and other protected grounds from the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Some specific actions we are taking to accomplish our goal are as follows:
- Collecting student voice data and working with students to improve a sense of belonging.
- Creating safer and more inclusive schools through education and curriculum (ex. Holocaust Education Curriculum).
- Leading projects to expand student knowledge and community connections (ex. Black Canadian History project)
