2024-25 School Year Calendar Consultation
The Upper Canada District School Board is starting to plan for the 2024-25 school year, and that includes the development of the school year calendar.
The consultation period closed on February 9, 2024 and, after vote by Trustees at the regular board meeting on February 14, 2024, the calendar has been submitted to the Ministry of Education for final approval.
Features of the proposed calendar include:
- The school year runs from September 3, 2024 to June 27, 2025.
- Classes start for students on September 4, 2024 and end on June 26,
2025.
- Semester 1 will run from September 3, 2024 to January 30, 2025.
- Semester 2 will run from January 31, 2025 to June 27, 2025.
- Winter/holiday break is December 23, 2024 to January 3, 2025.
- March Break is March 10, 2025 to March 14, 2025.
- The proposed Professional Activity days are as follows:
- September 3, 2024
- October 25, 2024
- November 22, 2024
- January 31, 2025
- April 11, 2025
- May 30, 2025
- June 27, 2025
All comments/responses are requested by Friday, February 9, 2024. Please know that this calendar is subject to change based on feedback during the consultation period, or at the direction of the Ministry of Education.
