This record of immunization is required to assist the local Health Unit to meet their requirement under the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA) to collect and maintain immunization records for every child registered in school.

I will require before and after school care. Where can I find more information?

For a listing of schools that currently offer Before and After School Care (at a cost to parents), please see our Before and After School Care Options. Please note: these programs are offered through third-party companies and organizations and not by the UCDSB.

Can you tell me more about the Kindergarten Program?

The Kindergarten program is a play-based educational program full of exploration, discovery and learning about the world!

Children learn through play, and the kindergarten curriculum is designed to engage them in this learning, through their natural curiosity, imagination and creativity. You can access the complete Kindergarten curriculum on the Ministry of Education website.

Many of our schools also offer a French Immersion program. The list of schools which currently offer French can be found on the
French as a Second Language page.

How else should I prepare for Kindergarten?
The Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit creates a terrific ABC Booklet each year that provides great information about kindergarten including immunizations, healthy food, positive parenting tactics and more. Read the ABC Booklet.
