Parent Involvement Committee

Parent Involvement Committee

PIC description

2019-2020 PIC Meeting Schedule

Monday, November 4, 2019 - 6 p.m. at the
Brockville Board Office (225 Central Ave. West)

What is PIC?
A board-wide group of UCDSB parents that serve to support, encourage and enhance parent engagement at the board level, in order to improve student achievement and well-being. UCDSB-PIC members also provide parental input on future policies for the Director and the Board of Trustees, as well as providing support to all UCDSB School Councils.

Why should you get involved?

The more we have people involved in a child's life and connected with the school, then the better opportunities we have to understand each child and each child's needs to be successful.

How to get involved
Email rhonda.mcnish@ucdsb.on.ca to indicate your interest in applying to be a member of the committee, or if you wish to nominate someone. For more information, please search in the documents below.

The committee seeks to have two parent representatives from each of the following Family of School groupings, one from the Akwasasne Mohawk Board of Education (AMBE), along with a community representative. A Family of Schools consists of a high school and its feeder schools.

The 5 groupings of Family of Schools (FOS) are:

  1. Glengarry FOS, Rockland FOS, Seaway FOS, Tagwi FOS and Vankleek Hill FOS
  2. Almonte FOS, Carleton Place FOS and Perth FOS
  3. North Dundas FOS, North Grenville FOS, Russell FOS and Smiths Falls FOS
  4. Athens FOS, Gananoque FOS, Rideau FOS and South Grenville FOS
