Accessibility
The UCDSB has an opportunity to provide leadership by addressing the provisions of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 in its schools and workplaces. Our Board's efforts are currently guided by a five year plan of action as a sustained commitment to address its priorities for accessibility.
Board Improvement Plan to Support Student Achievement and Wellness (BIPSAW)
At the UCDSB, we believe that if we establish, a consistent, equitable, and intentional culture of well-being and inclusivity in all of our schools, then all students will develop enhanced mental and physical health, a positive sense of belonging, the skills to make positive choices, and increase student achievement.
Director's Annual Report
The Director's Annual Report details the success of the board in meeting its four strategic priorities of achieving excellence, ensuring equity, promoting well-being and enhancing public confidence in the district.
Equity & Inclusion
The UCDSB is committed to supporting and improving its focus on equity, through a multi-year plan that aligns with the Board’s policies on equity and inclusivity and provincial direction in this area (as defined by the Ontario Equity Action Plan (2017)). Our Board’s plan seeks to address issues of belonging and safety, as well as factors that will enhance student learning. Key deliverables are outlined in this plan - each with a timeline for completion and a method for measuring impact. Each deliverable is included in one of the four action areas: School and Classroom Practices; Leadership, Governance and Human Resources Practices; Data Collection, Integration and Reporting, and; Organizational Cultural Change.

Mental Health Plan

Rural & Northern Education Funding
As part of its Plan to Strengthen Rural and Northern Education, the Ministry of Education’s announcement on 28 June 2017 identified a Rural and Northern Education supplement to enhancement the Grants for Student Needs (GSN).
Special Education
Each year the board reviews and updates a Special Education Plan about delivery of programs and services in the board. The plan is written to inform the Ministry of Education and the public about special education programs and services that are provided by the board in accordance with legislation and ministry policy on special education.
It is also a forward-looking document that outlines initiatives that can be undertaken to continue our efforts to improve the quality of our special education programs and services.
Strategic Planning
