UCDSB and City of Brockville Partner to Build for the Future in Brockville

The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) Board of Trustees and City of Brockville approved the purchase of 14.3 acres and 9.93 acres of land, respectively, to accommodate the new Brockville Public School as part of the UCDSB’s long-term vision to “build for the future” in conjunction with the City of Brockville’s commitment to build a new twin-pad arena and sports field serving citizens of the City.

Hundreds of Intermediate Athletes Competed Wednesday at 2018 Upper Canada Cup Track and Field Championship

Approximately 700 intermediate athletes from 40 schools competed Wednesday at the 2018 Upper Canada Cup Track and Field Championship, held at Thousand Islands Secondary School. Students participated after qualifying for the meet at several regional events as part of the Upper Canada Cup athletic series, designed to provide additional athletic opportunities for students within our board.

Held at North Grenville District High School, the night recognized recipients of the Upper Canada District School Board Service Excellence Award, Volunteer of the Year Award, and Director’s Award of Merit, and the Ontario Principals’ Council Award of Character.

UCDSB Students Learn Indigenous Culture & History at District-Wide “Truth and Reconciliation +3” Gathering

The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) hosted a district-wide Indigenous gathering this week from May 7 to May 10 for students in grades 5 and 6. The third annual event gave students the opportunity to learn about the history and legacy of residential schools in Canada, as well as the traditions and culture of Inuit, Métis, Ojibway, Mohawk and Algonquin peoples.
