The Ontario Ministry of Education now requires early reading screening for all students in Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2. The UCDSB has selected the Acadience Reading assessment tool to complete this screening. Screening is wrapping up within the UCDSB, and results have been, or soon will be, shared with families.
The UCDSB will be hosting two online information sessions, designed to help parents/guardians with students in SK to Grade 2 understand the Acadience Reading screening and results.
UCDSB Reading Intervention Teachers will walk through what the scores represent and share some ideas about how you can support your child at home.
Both sessions will have the same information — choose the date that works best for you!
