Update to Parents/Guardians - Let's celebrate how far we've come!

Dear UCDSB Families,

As the school year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on all that has happened this year, how far we've come and how much we’ve all accomplished.

This year was, without a doubt, challenging for students, parents and guardians, and staff. But, with only a few days left until the last day of school (which is June 27 for our students), I feel like we are leaving on a high note, with lots to look forward to in September.

Students were able to play and hang out with their friends in other classes and grades at school again, sports and extra-curriculars were re-introduced, we spent more time in the classroom with students, and now we are hosting in-person graduation ceremonies!

From skilled trades workshops, to school plays, track meets and soccer tournaments, to working with community groups to learn and grow and make our communities better, and the list goes on – we have so much to celebrate!

We were even able to welcome back some International Students this spring, and they have been taking full advantage of their time in Eastern Ontario. You can check out what they’ve been up to, and get more info on how to become a host family here.

I hope that all our students and their families have the summer they deserve – one that is filled with fun, friends, and happiness.

See you in September – September 6 to be exact!
