New Cases of COVID-19 in UCDSB Schools - Oct.3

Parents/guardians, staff and students at the following schools received notification within the las24-48 hours that at least one individual at their school has tested positive for COVID-19.    


    • Bridgewood Elementary School (Cornwall) - OPEN
    •  Cornwall Collegiate Vocational School (Cornwall) - OPEN
    •  Eamer’s Corners Public School (Cornwall) - OPEN
    •  Linklater Public School (Gananoque) - OPEN
    •  Longue Sault Public School (Longue Sault) - OPEN
    •  North Stormont Public School (Berwick) - OPEN
    •  St.Lawrence Secondary School (Cornwall) - OPEN
    •  Tagwi Secondary School (Avonmore) - OPEN
    • Viscount Alexander Public School (Cornwall) - OPEN 

The Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) and the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit have done their assessments to determine those within the schoolwho may have had a high-risk exposure and are actively communicating with those individuals. 


At Eamer’s Corners Public School and Tagwi Secondary School, the health unit did their assessmentand determined that the individuals were not at school while infectious and therefore there was no exposure within the schools form those cases 
All schoolremain open and operating on their regular daily schedules

The health unit and schools are taking all necessary steps to prevent further spread of the virus. Specific information about individuals and cases within our schools is not shared by the school board with the public or with the media
