Purchasing Services
The Purchasing Department at the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) plays a vital role in supporting student learning by ensuring the ethical, efficient, and accountable acquisition of goods and services.
We oversee all aspects of purchasing across the Board, guided by UCDSB policies and procedures, Ontario legislation, and applicable trade agreements.
Current Bid Opportunities
All current bid opportunities are posted on the Bids&Tenders platform. Vendors can:
- Preview open opportunities
- Register to receive notifications for tenders, RFQs, RFPs, and pre-qualifications
Design and Construction Projects
For all design and construction projects (e.g., new or replacement schools, building additions, renovations. Etc.), UCDSB invites only pre-qualified contractors and consultants from our approved vendor lists to submit bids.
We refresh these lists periodically through a formal prequalification process posted on the Bids&Tenders portal.
Collaborative Procurement Contracts
UCDSB is committed to collaborative purchasing in line with the Ontario BPS Procurement Directive. When possible, we use Vendor of Record arrangements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
