2026-27 School Year Calendar Consultation
The Upper Canada District School Board is starting to plan for the 2026-27 school year, and that includes the development of the school year calendar.
Alignment of start and end of the school year, PA days and exam days with the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario has been considered as a means to minimize transportation costs.
Features of the draft calendar include:

The school year runs from Tuesday, September 1, 2026 to Monday, June 28, 2027.

Classes start for students on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 and end on Friday, June 25, 2027.

Semester 1 will run from Tuesday, September 1, 2026 to Friday, January 29, 2027.

Semester 2 will run from Monday, February 1, 2027 to Monday, June 28, 2027.

Winter/holiday break is Monday, December 21, 2026 to Friday, January 1, 2027

March Break is Monday, March 15, 2027 to Friday, March 19, 2027.
The proposed Professional Activity days are as follows:
Note: The October PA day falls on a Monday, as suggested by the Ministry of Education, to coincide with the upcoming municipal elections.
