UCDSB Update

As March Break winds down, we are sending a quick reminder and some clarification around the changes to school practices that will go into effect on Monday, March 21, 2022.

  • Masking is optional for all students and staff while at school and on school transportation

  • Those who have travelled outside of Canada need to review the updated federal travel requirements and exemptions prior to returning to school. Note: students and staff who travelled outside of Canada will need to wear a mask for 14 days in public spaces, which includes schools and school transportation, after their arrival back to Canada.

  • Hand sanitizing stations will still be in place in schools. Students will be reminded to continue with regular handwashing.

  • Schools will examine the cohorting and physical distancing practices that are currently in place and see where changes can be made that fit the natural flow of the school day.

  • Confirmation of daily screening is no longer necessary, however we ask that everyone still do daily assessments and use the provincial screening tool when necessary. As always, please keep students at home when they are unwell, even if the symptoms that they are displaying are not known symptoms of COVID-19.

  • Spectators will now be permitted at school sporting events.
