Tanya Cindric is an award recipient who embodies all six Service Excellence qualities in her leadership role as a technical analyst for the Upper Canada District School Board.
Culture of Care
Although she is relatively new to the role of Technical Analyst, Tanya has been training a new employee in the same role. Despite the learning curve being quite steep, Tanya shows exemplary patience and compassion when training new staff. She works tirelessly to raise her level of knowledge of a complex problem but also takes the time to bring her colleague along so that they both benefit.
Individualized Care
Tanya approaches each new challenge with renewed enthusiasm and methodical precision. She looks for innovative and customized solutions to meet the needs of the various customers that she supports. She has a thorough and methodical approach to any new challenge.
Above and Beyond
This is the quality characteristic that really makes Tanya deserving of this award. She is often called upon to work outside of the "normal" business hours, sometimes all night, to resolve critical issues or put system updates in place. As a working mother of six children, she provides the highest level of service to her customers.
Recognized and Valued
Tanya has a friendly and considerate demeanour. She encourages team members to provide input and has an open-door policy when colleagues have an unexpected challenge that requires her expertise.
Collaboration and Communication
In addition to being a valued member of the ITS team, she provides support to many other departments in the organization, including human resources and business. Tanya collaborates effectively with all of the various stakeholders and manages to translate highly technical information into language that everyone can understand.
Action Start to Finish
Tanya demonstrates action from start to finish especially when trying to resolve a technical issue. Most recently, she worked all weekend and into the next work week, including overnights to resolve an issue from start to finish, which included an unprecedented tenacity to resolve.
