Posted on 04/04/2021

Parents/guardians, staff and students at the following schools/work sites received notification within the last 48 hours that at least one individual at their school/work site has tested positive for COVID-19.

  • Central Board Office (Brockville)
  • Bridgewood Public School (Cornwall)
  • Tagwi Secondary School (Avonmore)

The Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) has confirmed that the both the case at Tagwi SS and the case recorded at the Central Board Office presented no exposure within the school or work environment. The EOHU is working with Bridgewood PS and actively communicating with anyone who may have had a high-risk exposure.

Both schools remain open and operating on their regular daily schedule.
The health unit encourages everyone to continue with public health recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and monitor for symptoms carefully.
The health unit and the school board do not release specific details about a COVID-19 case in a school directly to the public. You can find more information about COVID-19 cases in our schools on our
COVID-19 Advisory Information page, or on the Government of Ontario website.
Schools report confirmed COVID-19 cases to the provincial government and it is tracked on the provincial website. It can take up to 24 to 48 hours for the information to be posted, based on the timing of reporting.
