Valentine’s Night Out Fundraiser to Help Students

at Brockville Collegiate Institute

(Brockville) – It’s a night out with a twist – for men AND women!

It’s your chance to pamper yourself or your Valentine, to buy that special someone a special gift, and participate in a “how to” workshop, all the while supporting students at Brockville Collegiate Institute (BCI).

BCI’s Parent Council is hosting Valentine’s Night Out for Men and Women in the school’s gym and first floor area on Thursday, February 9 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Funds will be used by Parent Council for the benefit of all students at the school, in addition to maintaining a bursary program for a graduating student.

“As parents we want our kids to know that we are here to support them when we can, in ways that we haven’t even thought of yet, both academically and with fun things,” said coordinator Alison Wilson.

“Parent Council has no funds right now. This is a major undertaking and the fundraiser that will start us off.  If it’s as successful as we think it will be, we look forward to this becoming an annual event.”

Admission is $10 per person and a free loot bag will be given to the first 50 people paying admission. Other free surprises are available to everyone who attends. 

In addition to the 25 confirmed vendors, mini pampers, and ‘how to’ workshops/demos, guests can also place bids during the event’s first-rate silent auction with over 50 items available.

 “The support we have received from the community has been amazing!” said Wilson.

“We’re very excited to have Shopper’s Drug Mart and Lise Watier Cosmetics on site during the evening doing mini makeovers for men and women, plus they have their own surprises for guests.”

Pauline’s Lingerie will also be in attendance with specialty Valentine’s items for him and her. Local business Precision Contracting/The Glass Guru will be providing a demonstration of how to save your windows.

“It’s going to be a great evening for those who attend – and for the students of BCI!”
