Weather Forecast Still Concerning

(Brockville) – The Upper Canada District School Board remains concerned about a storm system that may hit our area later today and has prepared contingency plans for school exams in case busing needs to be cancelled tomorrow.

Transportation staff will monitor the Pelmorex/The Weather Network Weather Forecasting service to keep an eye on the effects of the unpredictable system that may bring stormy conditions to our area. Working in consultation with Pelmorex and our bus contractors, we will let the public know whether the buses are cancelled by no later than 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

All but four of our high schools have exams scheduled for Wednesday. Should the Board need to cancel bus transportation on Wednesday due to bad weather, remaining exams will be moved to Thursday, February 2. Semester 2 classes would then begin Monday, February 6.
