The Board of Trustees will be asking secondary school students (Grade 7 to 12) to complete a confidential survey to help us understand the effectiveness of CREW and how it is being implemented.

T
he Upper Canada District School Board has a strategic plan called CREW that our Trustees use to continually assess the strategic direction of the board with an emphasis on student achievement and wellbeing.

The Board of Trustees will be asking secondary school students (Grade 7 to 12) to complete a confidential survey to help us understand the effectiveness of CREW and how it is being implemented.

This is the second round of the Student Survey, which is administered on behalf of the Board of Trustees. The results from the survey will give our Board reliable and accurate data that will be valuable as we fulfill our accountability mandate and strive toward our goal of a 90 per cent graduation rate.

This survey is being done with assistance from the market research firm Ipsos and is conducted online. Access to the Student Survey will be permitted using unique PIN access codes that will be distributed in the classroom beginning on Monday, September 17. Administration of the survey can be done within the schools up until (and including) Friday, September 28.

UCDSB Staff will also be invited to participate in round two of this confidential survey starting Friday, September 14 until Friday, September 21.

For questions regarding the survey, please feel free to contact Jeff McMillan, Chair of the Board, by e-mail at jeff.mcmillan@ucdsb.on.ca
