Community Resources for Families

As we navigate through these unprecedented times, we want our staff, students and families to know that we are all in this together. While the core function of the school board is to educate students, our relationship with families gives us the opportunity to help beyond academics.

Two resources all our families should be aware of are the United Way and Eastern Ontario 2-1-1.

The United Way are local charities that support communities in time of need in a variety of ways. Contact information for the local United way organizations are as follows:

Eastern Ontario 211 connects people to the right information and services, strengthens Canada’s health and human services, and helps Canadians become more engaged with their communities. To contact Ontario 211, dial 2-1-1 on your phone or the toll-free number 1-877-330-3213.

For those looking to help or give during this time, the United Way national campaign helping people during the COVID-19 crisis is the "Local Love in a Global Crisis.”

Every dollar donated here goes back to the regional United Way in the postal code area from which the donation was made.
Donated food items to local food banks are also welcomed.
