OSSTF Labour Relations Update - November 29
Posted on 11/29/2019
Labour Relations UpdateThe Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF), the union that represents secondary teachers across the province, has announced that its members will partake in a one-day strike on Wednesday, December 4 if a deal is not reached at the provincial level by that time.

If this occurs, there will be no classes, planned activities, co-operative education placements or extracurriculars for students in Grades 9 to 12 on Wednesday, December 4. At this time, all classes will resume as normal for students in Kindergarten to Grade 8.

Community use programs and childcare operations that are run in our schools will not be impacted at this time.

We hope that negotiations at the provincial level will continue and result in an agreement before Wednesday, December 4 that is fair to all parties.

We will continue to update our families and communities as needed through various communication channels including our schools, My Family Room and social media.
