GISS Trojans Win Silver at EOSSAA Jr. Boys' A Volleyball Championship
November 20, 2017 (Elgin, ON) - Gananoque Intermediate and Secondary School won silver at the 2017 EOSSAA Junior Boys’ A Volleyball Championship.
Coach Michael Bishop said the Trojans advanced to Wednesday’s final, but lost to École secondaire catholique de Plantagenet in two sets, 25-15 and 25-19.
“Plantagenet had really strong outside and middle hitters,” said Bishop of the reason for the defeat. “And defensively, they didn't let much hit the floor. They were just a well-balanced, strong team.”
Bishop said he was proud of his team’s strong performance.
