Students Safely Returned to
Kemptville Public School and South Branch Elementary School
Following Earlier Bus Incident

February 10, 2017 (Kemptville, ON) – Students have been safely returned to Kemptville Public School and South Branch Elementary School this morning following a medical emergency on a school bus earlier this morning. All students are unharmed and were safely returned to their respective schools earlier this morning.

During this morning’s route, a driver on Route 4025 experienced a medical issue and has since been transported to hospital for evaluation and care. It is our understanding that the driver is in stable condition at this time.

Counselling has been made available at the school for staff and students who may require support. Both Kemptville Public School and South Branch Elementary School are contacting parents of affected students individually.

The Upper Canada District School Board, Kemptville Public School, and South Branch Elementary School would like to thank those community members and students who assisted during this incident. Our thoughts are with the driver during this recovery period.
