On behalf of the students and staff of our team Discovery schools we would like to thank and congratulate each participating member of the Almonte DHS, Athens DHS, Brockville CI, Carleton Place HS, Kinsmen/Vincent Massey, North Grenville DHS, Rockland HS and Thousand Islands SS transition teams  for your outstanding contributions this past fall.

The reports from your meetings, available through the Building 2020 website at www.ucdsb.on.ca, will assist each school council to continue the progress of the transition teams. Special events are also being scheduled to provide opportunities for parents and students to visit our schools. In addition, the principals from each Team Discovery school will continue to meet on a regular basis at our Building 2020 operations meetings to prepare for September 2012.

The UCDSB Facilities department will also use each transition team report to confirm, with each school principal, the scope and timelines of facility work to be undertaken.  Depending on the nature of the work involved, some project work could be initiated prior to the end of the school year. However, as has occurred in previous years, the majority of facility work is expected to take place over the summer months.

Your assistance and attention to detail to assist our students is greatly appreciated.
