Grade 8 Earn a Credit

Grade 8 students have an opportunity to earn a full credit, through the Upper Canada District School Board’s Continuing Education program, before entering high school. This program does not allow for granting of half credits. Students must make a serious commitment to attend all classes and to complete all assignments.

This course explores learning strategies and helps students become better, more independent learners while increasing their personal management skills, both in school and in other contexts. Students will learn how to develop and apply a range of strategies to improve their learning and achievement, particularly their literacy, numeracy, communication and planning skills. This course will increase a student’s confidence, motivation and ability to learn.

Transportation is not provided for the after school program. Classes will not run if there is insufficient enrollment.
