Extra Mile Award presented to Brandon Timmerman

TISS student Brandon Timmerman was awarded the Upper Canada District School Board's Extra Mile Award at the Board meeting on Wednesday, October 26.

Brandon and former BCI student, Kaylee Villeneuve, co-organised the Pride Walk in Brockville in August to promote unity amongst all sexualities. Approximately 450 students, staff and community members participated in the walk.

The Extra Mile Award is presented by UCDSB Director, David Thomas, to individuals, be they students, staff or community members who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and character in the school or community.
