Welcome to Russell Public School

Welcome to Russell Public School.   We are a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 School that offers both the French Immersion and Core French streams.  As a school community, we strive to help our children be the best that they can be as students and as children.  We foster an environment of care and compassion for all our learners to ensure they have every opportunity to be successful.  Our staff is committed to providing a stimulating learning environment to engage our students and excite them about their learning.  At Russell Public School, we are committed to helping our students gain self-confidence because we know that when students feel good about themselves they are wiling to take risks and try their best. 

We value the support of parents; we look forward to working together with you to help provide the necessary skills, knowledge, and values to help your children be safe, happy, and lifelong learners.  Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions and join us on our School Advisory Council.

We work closely with our community partners and have been designated a Community Circles school in Upper Canada District School Board.  We have a full-time Integra community worker in our school and we enjoy our partnerships with KinderCare, through their Ready2Learn and Before and After School programs, the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, and our community liaison officer.  We recognize that it takes a whole community to raise a child.

Our goals this year continue to be a focus on Character Always! and our reading and numeracy initiatives.  Russell Public School is a special place to learn and this is because of the enthusiasm of our students and dedication of our staff.
