As we begin the second half of the school year, our Grade 8 students are beginning to think more and more about their upcoming high school experience. The teachers and administration of RDHS have been working to prepare a series of transition activities that will make the move from elementary school to high school as smooth as possible. Below is an outline of our “Transition Days” that will assist families in learning more about high school and course selection.
On Wednesday, February 1st, 2017- Our RDHS Guidance Counsellor, Mr. Andrew Lawford, will visit the grade 8 classes to discuss high school in general and the skills that are necessary for success in high school. Students will also receive a course selection package that includes a course calendar and recommendations from grade 8 teachers.
