Welcome to Naismith Memorial Public School- where we pride ourselves on the success and well-being of our students, staff and school community. We hope many of you are excited to start a new school year, full of many new and exciting opportunities!  This year you will see many new faces at our school including myself as the incoming Principal and Mrs. Brend Kerr our Office Administrator.  We are very excited to have Mr. Paul Leroy as our Vice-Principal.

   This year we will all continue to grow and learn in a positive learning environment, as we carry-on Dr. James Naismith’s philosophy; Sound Body ~ Sound Mind. Here at Naismith we know the importance of a well-rounded educational experience, which is why we offer exciting learning opportunities  for your children such as French Immersion, a variety of sports teams and clubs, an award winning music program, high academic standards, and so much more. This is thanks to our strong and supportive staff here at Naismith as well as our parents and school community.

   Our website was designed to continue to provide a great tie between our school and the community, so we can all celebrate the success of our students and school community. As well, many teachers like to use the website to help keep parents informed of assignments and tests. We understand and support the significance of parental involvement in the school community, so we hope this website will be of value to you and your child’s education. 

   So sharpen your pencils and don’t forget to bring your outdoor shoes, and let’s get ready for an exciting 2011-2012 school year at Naismith Memorial Public School!

    By the way if you happen to run into Mr. Adams, Mr. Carpenter or Mr. Thompson in the halls in September, make sure to thank them for making our school sparkle!
