North Dundas sent two teams of students to the Skills Canada competition this year.
Evan Corbett-White, Devon Byers, Nick Fleury, Mac Thatcher, Sara Ives, Hanna Manczuck, Lisa Scheuner and Grace Tilley went to the Secondary Schools cardboard race competition at Confederation High School in Ottawa on Wednesday, November 30. Teams had 2 hours to build and decorate their boats. Their boat then participated in both a speed and a weight challenge in a pool. Teams were judged on safety, planning and design, quality of construction, visual appeal, teamwork and team spirit, knowledge of the skills trades, speed and weight capacity.
