Rock, Paper, Scissors SCREAM!
Ben Roberts won the primary Rock-Paper-Scissors Scream challenge at Nationview on Monday, Jan. 30.
Four classes participated in the challenge and Roberts, a grade 1 student, defeated Alex Quintyin the final match-up.
Students went head-to-head in the challenge with the winner continuing on to challenge other winners until only two remained. The students that lost followed the victor and cheered him or her on in other matches. By the final match-up, Alex and Ben had about 30 people screaming for each of them.
The school challenge was conducted as part of a CIRA Ontario initiative. Roberts got to represent the school in an online version of Rock-Paper-Scissors for a chance to win $1000 for Nationview's intramural program.
CIRA Ontario’s Fun For All Challenge
The entire school will be involved in trying to win $750 for the school’s athletic program. We will be participating in the CIRA Ontario's Fun For All Challenge . The goal of the challenge is for a school to come up with a fun, active event that involves as many people as possible. Nationview will perform two dances on October 27, 2011. We will be doing a Mass Monster Mash and a Full Participation Purple People Eater. Classes will be rehearsing these dances in the weeks leading up to the 27th. To impress the CIRA judges, Nationview staff and students will dance in full costume. We are looking forward to this fun event.
Here we are, dancing together in the gym.
