We have a well-stocked music room with many Orff instruments (xylophones, metallophones, glockenspiels etc) and a wide variety of percussion instruments. With grant money last year, we were able to purchase a class set of African djembe drums and more Orff instruments. Boomwhackers are coming soon. Recorder instruction will begin after Christmas. Students in grades one to six receive music instruction for a half hour each week. Occasional special event choirs perform for Remembrance Day, Christmas concert and spring music festival.
