Grade 3 3-D wood scrap sculptures inspired by the environment

Crazy chameleons! Grade 2 students practised watercolour techniques during an art workshop with Jenn Deighton.

Grade 3 students are reading about the "Group of Seven" and tried their hands at a reproduction of a Lawren Harris work. Jenn Deighton instructed them in the use of chalk pastels.

Pottery workshop
Student teacher, Linda De La Torre, led grade 3 students through a pottery workshop on the last day of her placement at our school (Nov. 25). Students used the material (clay), tools (hands, various objects for stamping and engraving) and techniques (pinching, smoothing with a sponge and water) to create a small pot which Linda took home to fire and glaze. What a treat for us!

Local teacher and artist, Jen Deighton, presented workshops for grade 4/5 and grade 1. Using pastels, students created drawings of poppies for Remembrance Day.
