Principal’s Message

Kemptville Public School has a proud history in the community of North Grenville. It opened in 1958 and celebrated its 50th “Birthday” in 2008.

Currently, KPS is the Early French Immersion centre for families living in the North Grenville and Merrickville areas. The school offers a program that is 50% English (English, Math and Science) and 50% French (French, Social Studies/History/Geography, Physical Education and the Arts). Students are taught by a dedicated team of teachers who support learning both inside and outside the classroom.
