MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Welcome to the website of Carleton Place High School - Home of the Bears!  CPHS is located on the banks of the Mississippi River, and is home to approximately 800 student from grades 9 to 12.  We are a comprehensive high school offering courses in core subjects and also in Art, Music, Technology, Drama and Environmental Studies.  Classes begin at 8:05 am and run on a five period schedule until 2:10 pm.

The mission statement of Carleton Place High School is what drives our daily decision making.  CPHS is a centre for learning which recognizes the value of the individual and everyone's potential to learn.  In a changing society, we strive with parents and community, to provide students with the knowlege, skills, and values necessary for personall success and responsible citizenship.

Students at Carleton Place High School excel in National academic competitions, acceptance to university and college programs, as well as extra curricular activities such as Athletics, Drama, Music and Musical Theatre.
