At the recent graduation ceremonies, CCVS graduates received over $130,000 in scholarships and bursaries to assist them as they move on to University, College, Apprenticeships, the world of work or into a different Career path.

CCVS and its students are very fortunate to have a large number of Alumni as well businesses, organizations and Community members in the Cornwall, Akwesasne and surrounding areas that continue to support the school and its 205 years of excellence.
The 205th graduation ceremony held on June 29 was in the school’s cafeteria. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., a ceremony was held for students with last names beginning with A-K and at 2 p.m., students from L-Z had their turn.

This year’s valedictorians were Alisa Kroon and Christian Zimmer. The two graduates were chosen by their peers to represent the student body during the graduation ceremonies. It was a long but exciting day for both valedictorians, particularly for Zimmer as he was the last student to receive his diploma.
Students included in the first half ceremonies had the opportunity between 12-1 p.m. to congratulate their friends in the other half of the class in the school library. CCVS Principal Robert Currier and Vice-Principal Trevor Wheeler said there were 265 graduates in the class of 2011.
