Athens District High School Seeks Nominations for 2017 Hall of Distinction
(Athens) – Athens District High School (ADHS) is seeking nominations for the 2017 Hall of Distinction.
The awards, to be presented at Commencement in June, recognize alumni who have not only made their mark in the sport and business world, but who have dedicated their lives to the improvement of their communities, said Principal Marsha McNair. Past winners have included businessmen, world-class archers, and members of the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
“We have a tradition of excellence here at Athens District High School and we wish to honour alumni who have made their mark and can serve as role models for our students and our community,” said McNair.
The awards are coordinated each year by the ADHS Alumni Committee. Nominators will be asked to provide information on a nominee’s academic and professional achievements – including accomplishments in their chosen field – as well as volunteer efforts, and any military, artistic, political and athletic achievements that are applicable.
Nomination forms are available by clicking on the link in the top right hand corner of this page. They can also be picked up at the ADHS office.
The deadline for nominations is May 5, 2017.
