1. Locating Your Designated School

If you have any questions related to the school your child will be attending, please use the School Seeker program, or contact the Transportation department at 1-800-818-3674 to assist you.

2. How to Register at the Upper Canada District School Board Schools

Families have a number of options for registering children at our schools.

Visit your local school

Schools in the Upper Canada District School Board are always open for registration. Come on in! In addition, please contact your local school for specific open house dates and watch for our advertisements in local newspapers. Search for school contact information using the Contact Us search option to the right of this page.

We understand that families want to visit the school that their child will be attending. In addition to this, you can pre-register your child using our online pre-registration tool. The school will make contact with you to complete the registration process at a later date. Even using this option, it is recommended that this is done in partnership with a visit to your local school.

Print a Registration Form

Parents have the option of printing the registration form, filling it in, and bringing it to your local school.

We are looking forward to seeing you! Our schools offer “Welcome to Kindergarten” evenings later in the spring. Dates for these evenings vary from school to school. Schools will send invitations to registered families, inviting them to attend.

3. What information do I need to register my child for Kindergarten?

Whether coming into the school, pre-registering on-line, or a combination of both, you will need to bring:

Child’s birth certificate or other government document to show proof of age;
Record of child’s immunization (measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus and polio);
Child’s health card

Early Learning Programs (Full day/every day Kindergarten); transportation is provided to students living within the designated school boundary.

Please contact your school/teacher for their specific requests for school supplies. If your school doesn't have a specific list, here are some general recommendations for the basic necessities for back-to-school.
