Scented Products Awareness Guideline

Scented Products Awareness Guideline

The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) is committed to a safe, healthy, and respectful workplace, and learning environment for staff, students, caregivers, community partners, and all other persons who are invited to or who work on Board-owned or leased property.

Staff, students, volunteers, and visitors need to be mindful that scented products may be problematic for many individuals, and therefore, refraining from wearing or using scented products on Board or Board-leased premises, during Board-sanctioned activities, as well as on school buses is requested.

Please find at the following link, the School Board Scented Products Awareness GuidelineThe Guideline has had input from the UCDSB Joint Health & Safety Committee and has been reviewed by Executive Council and Operations Council.

All UCDSB students and staff need to be aware about the effect that scents can have on individuals. Scent Awareness Posters will be posted at entrances and in highly visible locations in all schools and work locations.
