Upper Canada District School Board to Host 2018 Trustee Innovation Awards on September 26 in Brockville

September 25, 2018 (Brockville, ON) – The Upper Canada District School Board will host the 2018 Trustee Innovation Awards Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the board office in Brockville. The annual awards ceremony recognizes staff for innovative teaching and work practices that help to improve the quality of life and education for our students and staff. The first awards were presented in September 2013.
Staff to be honoured by category during the ceremony are: Facilities/School System, Debbie Banks and Mary-Kaye McGreevy, co-winners (Board Oxford Mills Office); Support Staff, Jennifer Sims (Rockland Public School); Elementary Teachers, Fiona Frigault and Justine Gowsell, co-winners (Central Public School); Secondary Teachers, Brian Dickie (Carleton Place High School) and Mary-Louise Scappaticci (Thousand Islands Secondary School); and Team/Group, Restless RedHawk Café Project (Smiths Falls and District Collegiate Institute).
