Hall of Excellence Nominations

Rideau District High School is a rural community school with an active historic past and an exciting future. We provide a full range of programs designed to meet the needs and aspirations of all our students. Excellence in Academics, Athletics and the Arts is expected and attained within our friendly and caring environment. Our graduation rate is high with many students attaining Ontario Scholarships while others earn special recognition and awards. Our students pursue post-secondary education attending college, university, apprenticeship programmes or other positions in the world of work. 

Mission Statement

The Mission Statement of Rideau District High School is to promote positive student growth in a safe and encouraging environment. 

Criteria

Inductees into the Rideau Hall Of Excellence will have demonstrated success in their lives in at least one of the following areas: the arts, academics, athletics, business, the military or voluntarism. In addition, the inductees will have demonstrated good citizenship and community involvement (not necessarily within the Rideau Community). The inductees must have been a student in good standing at Rideau District High School for a minimum of one year, but not necessarily a graduate and inductees may be either living or deceased. 

Application Process

An application must be completed on the attached form and submitted, with supporting documentation, to the selection committee at the following address:

The application form and supporting documentation may also be faxed to the Committee at 613-359-6328. Previous applications will be kept on file for future consideration. 

Time Line

The application deadline is March 22nd, 2010

Inductees will be contacted on or before April 26th, 2010

Induction Ceremony will be held as part of the Re-Dedication Ceremony at the 50th Reunion Gala Celebration on Saturday, May 22nd, 2010.
